As a DRTV expert, I know the power of a good testimonial. So in lieu of writing about myself, I’ll share a testimonial from my Executive Creative Director on what he thinks about me.
SUBJECT: You Know Lisel
Everybody knows Lisel. Her enthusiasm, wit and warmth attract all who find themselves in her orbit. A quick smile, a gentle laugh, the feeling that, at a given moment, she’s only interested in you and what you have to say. (Cue animated birds singing, woodland animals hugging, etc.)
That’s wonderful and all.
But that’s not why Lisel Larson is our newest Vice President. Here’s why:
Lisel’s design and art direction skills help set the standard for the department. UHC, Oasis, Oak Street Health, Newell – all good examples of her talent and commitment. So, she delivers on the job description.
But wait, there’s more.
Lisel understands that our success depends on a willingness to get out of our comfort zone, learn new things and try them out. For example, Lisel volunteered to rebuild our website a few years ago, and she keeps it fresh and current (and SEO-friendly.) On the client front, she accepted the challenge to create and deliver an entire digital banner campaign for an important account, even though that’s “not something we do.”
What’s really notable is the pride Lisel takes not only in her own work, but in our collective work. She is supportive of not just the creative that we make, but all the other things that go into putting the creative into action; she respects everyone’s contributions. Lisel was instrumental in creating the culture mission statement that graces the West wall, and helping develop our Eideology. She is a founding member of the EiBuzz RapidFire production team. If you’ve been to an Eicoff holiday party, there’s a good chance your picture is in her photos folder. It’s important to Lisel that Eicoff is more than just a place where we come to work each day.
As a friend likes to say, ‘It’s nice to be nice to the nice.” Which is true. But what really matters is delivering results, time and time again, under challenging circumstances. While being nice.
